ER
Luka treats a small boy
who has had continual internal organ difficulties and whose
mother seems extremely well-informed and well-versed in the
medical lingo. He doesn’t suspect anything out of the ordinary
although the boy has had dozens of procedures in his young life,
and Luka is almost ready to arrange another one for him, when
Carol alerts him that it appears that the mother may be making
her son sick on purpose. Although Luka is skeptical, the pair
gets Abby to leave a bottle of drugs, which she leads the mother
to believe is peroxide, near the boys bed to test if the mother
will try to use it on her son. Indeed she does, but it turns out
that it is actually a substance which changes color in gastric
juices, and when Luka comes to find out what has happened to the
son, he removes some of the colored fluid from the boy’s
stomach.
